The Danetalkers web site was first created in 1997 under the name of "Great Dane Lovers Society". Since that time we have undergone several site
changes in an attempt to create a site that is informative and beneficial to the Great Dane owner. We have decided on this format which will be an
ongoing effort to provide the Great Dane owner and lover with information you'll use from first bringing your puppy home through dealing with the
loss of your dane. We will continue to add to the site to improve current features while creating new and fun additional features. soo....bookmark
the site now and check back frequently.
While we would love to be able to provide this site to all dane owners without ads, we need to be realistic and at least try to recover a fraction
of the cost associated with maintaining and constant updating to bring you the most recent information and news concerning the dane. We have attempted
to keep the ads on the pages of this site to a bare minimum while taking care to visit the site of each ad listed to assure we are not showing ads
which might go against the grain of what Danetalkers stands for. If you happen to see an ad with a product that you might be interested in, please
go ahead and click on it, if for no other reason than to see what they're offering. If you have a suggestion for additional information or features
you would like to see added to the site, Please let us know here
As the owner, designer, and creator of Danetalkers, I have owned, shown, bred, rescued, and loved Great Danes for more than 30 years. The content on some of the pages stem from my personal and lengthy experience with Danes over the last 30 some years, however, that doesn't make me an expert. I am still trying to learn everything I can about the dane, and about the time I expect to see what is considered "normal" for the dane, they surprise me with something I didn't know. We must never become so complacent with Dane knowledge that we fail to recognize the benefits of continued learning concerning our Danes.
I am always open and willing to allow you to contribute to the Danetalkers site with your personal knowledge and experience with Great Danes. If you would like to contribute a story or article, please use the contact form sending a brief synopsis of what you would like to contribute. We can then collaborate by email allowing you to send more in-depth information, and how you would like to be credited with that information.
